The traxxas system works great tons of tire speed but needs a low gear for crawling so it should work for you My fordyce is getting a new esc, motor and servo I run the 2 speed with the high blue gear set and in first it is lower geared than stock and crawls great than second rips way faster probably 13ish mph.
Traxxas does not make a stronger motor for the trx Rtr electronics are weak and you will end up spending more money upgrading those You'll have to go aftermarket, of which there are tons of options
